Brooke Fogle is Summit Christian Academy’s College Guidance Counselor. Originally from Austin, Ms. Fogle received her B.A. in Social Work from Baylor University. While attending Baylor, Ms. Fogle also interned as a high school counselor.
Upon graduation from Baylor, Ms. Fogle began attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in August 2002. She enrolled in the counseling program and had the opportunity to counsel families and individuals from age two all the way to older adults. Ms. Fogle received her M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling in May 2006. In her final year at seminary, she decided to work in a school setting because of her college internship in a school and her passion to work with children. For these reasons, Ms. Fogle began looking for employment in Christian schools in the Austin area, whereupon she joined the Summit Christian Academy staff to begin the 2006-2007 school year.
Ms. Fogle works with students in grades 8-12 to assist them in plotting a successful course through High School and into college and a career. She works with each 8th Grader to introduce them and their parents to the college planning process and cooperates with the Secondary Principal in preparing each student’s 4-year plan for High School. Efforts in 9th and 10th Grades focus on annual updates to each student’s High School plan, beginning a portfolio of activities, honors, service projects, employment, etc. to use in the college application process, taking the PSAT (for practice), and initial college research and campus visits. This continues and intensifies in students’ Junior and Senior years when students take the PSAT (as Juniors) to qualify for National Merit Scholarship consideration, take the SAT and ACT exams, visit college campuses, apply to colleges, and seek financial aid.
Ms. Fogle gives personal attention to each 8th-12th grade student and his/her family throughout their time at Summit. Parents and students may reach Ms. Fogle any time through email at bfogle@summiteagles.org, and she is available on the Cedar Park campus for conferences with parents and students on Mondays and Fridays.
