Board of Directors 2006-2007

Mr. Rick Randall President
William R. (Rick) Randall holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Masters degrees in Biblical Theology and in Educational Administration from Abilene Christian University. He has done postgraduate work in individual and family counseling and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Theology with an emphasis on Old Testament studies. Rick is the founding pastor of Austin Cornerstone Church. Prior to his move to Austin in 1994, he served for 19 years as the associate Pastor for John Hagee at Cornerstone Church of San Antonio. Rick has served as a public school teacher and administrator, administrator of Castle Hills Christian Academy in San Antonio, and various positions of church ministry including minister of Christian Education, director of Pastoral Care, Church administrator and Personnel Director. He is a Viet Nam era veteran of the US Navy. He currently serves on the mayor's Racial Reconciliation Pastoral Advisory Committee for the City of Austin, is a chaplain for the Austin Police Department and serves as co-chairman of the Austin Pastor's Prayer Fellowship, an interracial, interdenominational pastor's association. Rick and his wife, Faye, have two adult children.

Mr. James Franklin Vice-President
Jim Franklin is Regional Vice President for Metlife Investors Distribution Company, responsible for marketing and financial product distribution for Texas and New Mexico. Jim has an extensive background in marketing, administration and finance, and has worked in his industry for 16 years. He also worked 10 years in various ministry positions, including associate pastor of a 4000 member church, director of an ACSI member Christian school, and served in the district headquarters of the Assemblies of God Church. Jim received his undergraduate degree from Southwestern University, in Waxahachie, Texas, received a M.A. in Christian Education, for the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and received his M.B.A. from the University of Dallas. Jim lives with his wife and daughter in Leander, Texas. They attend Celebration Church

Mr. Kevin Bormann Treasurer
Kevin Bormann holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Texas A&M University. For the past four years he has been financial officer of HF2M, Inc., a Real Estate Investment Company headquartered in Round Rock. Prior to holding that position, Kevin spent five years at Ernst & Young LLP. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas. Kevin has been actively involved in Summit since 2003. He has coached the soccer team, been a leader on a mission trip, and served as an active member. He and his wife, Carissa, have three children, Luke, Samuel and Joshua. They attend Celebration Church.

Mr. Rick Campbell
Rick Campbell earned a degree in Business Administration from New Mexico State University in 1983. Rick operates an asset recovery business located in Austin. Rick and his wife Patrice have three children, Katie (age 14), Ricky II (age 10) and Aaron (age 3). Rick brings to the Board expertise in the areas of advertising, marketing, and business management. Patrice was the P.I.E. president at Summit for 2001-2002. Rick has a loving heart for the staff and students at Summit. They are members of Hill Country Bible Church in Austin.

Mr. Harold Chapman, Jr.
Harold Chapman is the President and CEO of H.L. Chapman Pipeline Construction, Inc., where he oversees 200 men. He and his wife, Tracy, have three children who have been at Summit their entire school years. Trey is currently in his 1st year at Texas A&M University, Caleb is currently in 10th and Noah, 7th. The family is actively involved at Andice Baptist Church where Mr. Chapman is a Deacon and Adult Sunday School teacher. The family resides in Andice. Mr. Chapman has served on the Summit Board of Directors since 1997. He brings to Summit his expertise in leadership, mediation and business management.

Mr. Jeffrey Drinkard
Jeff Drinkard is the President and owner of HF2M, Inc., a Real Estate Investment Company headquartered in Round Rock. Mr. Drinkard was raised in Idaho and moved to Round Rock in 1992. He and his wife Janeen have four children Benjamin, Samuel, Jack and Grace. Jeff has been actively involved with Summit Christian Academy since 1995 and his children have attended Summit for all of their formal education. The Drinkard's live in Leander and attend Austin Cornerstone Church.

Mr. Paul Jones
Paul and his wife Jane have been instrumental in leading parent-teacher organizations at Grace Covenant and Shoreline Christian Schools for over eight years. Paul is a Senior New Products Manager for Motion Computing in Austin and has an Engineering Management degree from the University of North Texas in Denton. The Jones family business, Virtual Texas 360, provides virtual tours to Central Texas businesses and home owners. Their family is actively involved at Shoreline Christian Center where Paul is the video team leader for the Children’s Ministry; he also ushers and serves as a home group leader. Paul and Jane have two children Shelby and Paul.

Ms. Beverly Ott
Bev Ott holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska. She has been involved caring for and educating children through teaching, directing day care and private school, children's fine arts ministry, and in-home therapeutic foster care. She is a member of the Community Emergency Response Team, as well as Disaster Ready Austin, and serves as the Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Coordinator for MISYS Healthcare Systems in Austin. Bev was raised on a Nebraska farm, but has made the Austin area her home for the last 20 years. She has been a member of Church of the Hills for the past 18 years, and has participated in domestic as well as international mission trips.

Ms. Lacey B. Seaton
Lacey Seaton is the owner of Purple Chocolate Fish Design, a graphic design firm in Austin since 1993. She specializes in print and on-line marketing collateral and brand management. Lacey and her husband Bob have 2 children in elementary grades at Summit, Matthew and Anne Lacey. Their family is active in Christ Renews His Parish, Breakfast for the Homeless, Sunday School, and youth events at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. They reside in Austin.
